Frequently Asked Questions
Part Predominant Recordings has been in business since 1995 producing top quality rehearsal recordings for choirs of all kinds. Over the years, music directors, clinicians, education associations, and singers have asked PPR various questions that we hope to address here. Please contact us if your question is not answered here.
-
How do I get my recordings?
Once purchased, you will be able to download an MP3 or ZIP file directly to your computer. Please note: If you desire a physical CD of a recording, you will need to add the 'CD version of product' to your cart as this is a physical product that requires a CD to be created on demand and shipped.
-
Can I make copies of PPR recordings for each choir member?
Yes. Our Master Tracks come with a license to share 10 copies (according to Section 115 of the United States Copyright Act). If you need more than 10 copies, you can purchase additional copies at time of purchase or by selecting "Add Ons" at a later date. More information is available here: Duplication/User Fee .
-
Do you sell the sheet music?
No. We only sell our rehearsal recordings on our website. There is a convenient link available under each title that will connect you with Sheet Music Plus so you can see the corresponding music we used to make our recording. The music is also available at many other music stores if you have a favorite or prefer to buy locally.
-
What if I already own PPR master recordings and just need to add a duplication license for new choir members?
Under "the "Catalog" tab, select "Add Ons". For Major Works (such as Vivaldi's Gloria or Faure's Requiem) select "Duplication/User Fee" for major work collections. For single titles (such as "The Hallelujah Chorus" from The Messiah) select "Duplication/User Fee" for single song.
-
What if I want to receive my recordings at a different email?
When placing your order, you will have the opportunity to enter your email. Your tracks will automatically be sent to this email. After placing your order, if you'd prefer us to send your tracks to an additional email, just email us at info@partpredominant.com and let us know.
-
What if I accidentally purchased the wrong title?
Just contact us and we will be happy to make sure you get what you need.
-
Do you make custom recordings?
Yes. However, due to our production model, our custom recordings are much more cost effective for larger ensembles. Just contact us and we will be happy to give you a quote based upon your needs.
-
Do the Master Tracks include the accompaniment?
If the arrangement is accompanied, in most cases, Master Tracks DO include the accompaniment (however it is not available on certain titles). A Rehearsal Piano Guide Track is available on many cappella arrangements. Please refer to the description below each song/work title to determine what is included with specific titles. When available, accompaniments and rehearsal piano guide tracks can also be purchased separately.
